Bird Photographs

My photography is about capturing pleasing images in the context of a bird's habitat to give viewers a glimpse into its life and create a story they might find interesting. People love photos that tell a story!

I captured all the images on this site using a Canon 7D camera with a 150-600mm Tameron lens and the majority of the photos were taken in Arizona, where I live. I rarely employ a tripod for the simple reason that birds are rarely stationary. I seldom crop my images in post-production, preferring to include more of the environment around my subject.
