Welcome! I'm thrilled to have you visit my site.

Born in Southern California and raised in the Silicon Valley of Northern California. I began capturing images of nature and people at a young age, documenting family vacations and travel adventures. My professional career touched on all aspects of photography and design.

In the fall of 1991, my husband and I sold our home, climbed aboard our 27' Pacific Seacraft yacht with our black cat, B.C., and sailed south, exploring the west coast of North America from San Francisco to Mazatlan. When we returned to the U.S. a year later, we traveled in a 28' Class C motorhome, eventually laying down roots in San Antonio, Texas. I chose to work at a small design firm, which allowed me to hone my design skills and learn the technical and financial side of running a business. We moved to Arizona in 2000 where I opened LMW Design Group, garnishing national awards for bringing my clients' visions to light over 20 years of operation.

Over the last decade, birds have become the focal point of my photography, leading me to develop this website where I share my images and adventures. In late 2022, I published a book of my photographs and travel blogs called, "It's All About the Birds: The Adventures of an Arizona Birder," available on Amazon, Barnes & Nobel and local bookstores and gift shops.

Although I still have a few clients, I have more time to explore other interests, such as digital drawing and painting using Procreate on my iPad. My husband, our dog, Sadi, and I split our time between our home outside of Phoenix and a cabin in the White Mountains of Arizona, where I bird, photograph, write and paint as often as possible.
